Agnes Simon is a Lecturer in College 1/Core at College Nine.
She is an intellectual historian, with interests in the interrelated history of economics, politics and ideas in modern Europe. She has published on the 20th century migration of academics and intellectuals from Hungary to the West, and her first monograph will be about immigrant economists acting as high-profile political advisers to several British governments in the post-WW2 period. She holds an MA from the Central European University, Budapest/Vienna, and an MPhil and PhD in History from the University of Cambridge.
She will serve as a TLC Faculty Fellow in the 2026-2027 academic year, focusing on research into the first year experience in undergraduate education.
