History Of Consciousness

- BA Philosophy at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM - CDMX, Mexico)

- MA Savoirs en Sociétés at École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS - Paris, France)

At the crossroads of philosophy of technology, STS, political economy, environmental humanities and political theory, my PhD dissertation project develops a longue durée materialist history of mining extractivism.

As such, this project attempts to shed critical light on the sociotechnical and socioenvironmental morphology of colonialism, capitalism and the Anthropocene. More generally, it tackles broad political, philosophical and athropological questions like: What constitutes value, use and waste? Which are the material conditions of possibility for the transformation of shared experience? How are nature and society assembled through the means and mediums that make and are made by historically situated processes and devices? How different modes of appropriation, modes of production and modes of dwelling produce and reproduce particular - yet patterened - relations between humans and non-humans alike? Or how do landscapes and populations subsist through resources and how do resources subsist through landscapes and populations?

Before, I did a field philosophy MA dissertation on field philosophy on land struggles in Chiapas Mexico.
