I am a PhD student in the Conservation Ecology Lab that is broadly interested in landscape ecology, urban ecology, and GIS. The research questions I am interested in concern the development and limitations of remote sensing datasets, spatial models, and community science data used to make conservation decisions, particularly in urban ecosystems. Before starting my PhD, I spent four years working on the GIS and Data Science team at the conservation nonprofit American Forests, focusing on increasing urban tree equity and restoring thornforest in the Rio Grande Valley.
