I am Jiaqi Zhao (Jackie), a Ph.D. student in Economics at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where I began my doctoral studies in 2026. Previously, I worked as a staff Analyst in the Complaints-resolution, Evaluation and Integrity Unit (CEIU) at the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) in Beijing and as an RA in the World Economic Studies Division of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Research Department in Washington, D.C.

I hold a Master of Public Policy (STEM-designated) from Georgetown University (2019–2021), where I worked as an RA at the Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security (GIWPS) and the Georgetown Global Health Institute.

I earned my B.A. in Chinese Language and Literature at Zhejiang University (2015–2019), specializing in literary theory. Through Chu Kochen Honors College's multidisciplinary curriculum, I also studied programming, public administration, political science, and economics. I spent a semester on exchange at the National University of Singapore.

Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, participating in charitable activities, and taking long walks. I also hold a green belt in Shotokan karate.
